Hazleton Publishing, United Kingdom, 1993. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 2nd Edition 1999. This extensively illustrated book is the biography of Rob Walker, the first private entrant to defeat the factory teams in World Championship Grand Prix racing. He began by driving up and down the drive of his family's mansion house in Wiltshire and became an amateur racing driver while at Cambridge, driving his own Delahaye to 8th place in the 1939 Le mans. A condition of his marriage in 1940 was that he would give up racing and so, following the War he became an entrant providing cars for drivers such as Rolt, Parnell, Collins, Brooks, Brabham, Trintignant, Bonnier, Hill, Rindt, Siffert and Stirling Moss. There is slight sun fading to the spine of the dust jacket which is otherwise in good condition. A multi-signed copy is also available. This is a large, heavy book which may require additional postage. Inventory # B2144. Seller Inventory # 004669
